Molly's new trick

Molly has recently discovered that her little legs are long enough to place on the bar attached to her bouncer. When she first figured this out, she had her legs resting on the bar for about 15 minutes! Now when we put her in her bouncer, it takes her a little while to remember that she likes to do this, but she eventually gets them up there. She is quite the talented girl. We think she might be a soccer player because she loves to kick. And recently she has been talking a lot, so we think she might be a singer. One day we'll see!

27 Dresses

I saw 27 Dresses a week ago actually, but forgot to post about it. GO SEE IT! It is really cute and if you are into chick flicks, then this is right up your alley. It is a little predictable, but there are a few twists along the way that keep the movie interesting and exciting. I really liked most of the main characters...I think they did a pretty good job. And if you happen to like the song Benny and the Jets, you'll love this show! I give it two thumbs up :)
And Justin, show all the "manly" pictures that you want. If you'd like to help me blog, please feel free!! FYI I don't have a "shoe factory" as he likes to call it. I'm sure most girls have many a pair of shoes and mine is nothing out of the ordinary.

Forgot the Pics

Blogger Sabotage 2

I have decided to follow Preston's lead and do something to the blog to give it some masculine qualities. First of all, if any of you guys are having a super bowl party next week please let me know, because there isn't anybody here that wants to watch it with me. Who do you guys think is going to win? I don't care what happens as long as Brady has the worst game of his life. Along these lines I have noticed that Molly has a strong liking of football (see attached photo). She is surprisingly more content and happy when football is on than "What not to wear" or some similar show. For all the guys that are in Vegas this weekend have fun and think of me when you do something that requires testosterone. I will be here watching re-runs of Miss America. Lastly, I have been looking at my photos of hunting recently. If any of you want to hunt some wolves in Wyoming this next year let me know.

P.S. If you think that is a lot of purses Preston then you she see my wifes shoe collection. We could open up our own shoe factory.

Been to the library lately?

Yesterday I went to the Whitmore library here in SL to get a library card. I then went and got a book and went to the "Self Check-out" line (which was actually the only line to check books out). I have never done a self check-out for library books! It was very similar to the self check-outs at the grocery stores.

Here's how it worked. There is a computer with a touch screen. You touch it to begin and it says to put your library card down on the scanner. So you set it down on the counter in the little rectangle that is clear with the scanner underneath. It scans your card, which has a little chip in it, and then it has you enter your pin, which is the last four numbers of your phone number. Then it pulls up your account info. Then it asks you to place your book on the pad on the counter. This instantly picks up all the info for the book (the number they have on it, the author, title and all that jazz). Then you can click continue or done. Oh and you can also print out a receipt when you finish that tells you when your books are due.

This was so weird to me! I have never had to do that before, nor seen that system. I guess it cuts down on the number of people that have to check out books for you so they can be elsewhere, although there was one girl helping people out who were having trouble.

Has your library implemented this system? Coming from Provo I had never seen this. And yes, I know that Provo is really it's own world, but I didn't know there was a new way to check out library books. Just thought I would share!

I chopped my hair! And I really like it! I let Brooke cut it for me the other day. I really do love long hair, but it was time for something new and different after having the same hair, all long and one length for about, what, 5 years or something. I probably cut 10-12 inches off! And NO this is not because I'm a mom now, going for the short hairdo look, although with long hair when I would lean down to pick the baby up my hair would totally be in her face!! Also, I figured it would be nice to have shorter hair for the spring and summer time. It's quick and easy! What do you think??

What's not to love?

I don't think much needs to be said of these three pictures except Thank you Karen! for the darling dress! She was a hit at church and also a great baby...must be the dress :)

This is Molly's debut in the bumbo chair. She is getting better at holding her head up and so we decided to put her to the test to see how well she really can hold it up. She actually did pretty well. After a few minutes she slumped to the side, so we decided practice was over.

December, 2007

I know I'm a little late with posting about Christmas, but I finally got to it today. Molly is settled in front of the TV right now watching a baby einstein movie and every once in a while I hear a little laugh from her! Ha ha, I love it! We celebrated Christmas with the Galbraith side this year. My whole life we've always gotten a real Christmas tree and this year was no exception.

Molly and daddy. Justin still tells me that he thinks it's pretty weird that he's a dad! I feel the same way, well...that I'm a mom :)

Justin opening a great present...that being anything having to do with GOLF!!! (The book is called The Top 100 Places to Golf or something like that.)

This is the full bunny outfit! Although the ears are a little small for a bunny...but we say it's a bunny outfit since there are bunnies on the jacket. And this is supposedly a 0-3 mos. outfit. Are you kidding me?! She's about 2 1/2 mos. in this picture and it's pretty big. Some people that work with my FIL gave this to us after she was born and we decided to dress her up in it on Christmas since it's nice and warm.

Molly loves New York! Well, really Sara loves New York, but she was very thoughtful to bring this back for Molly! (None of us have ever been to NY, but I did get a promise from Justin the other day that we'd go by the time we're 30. That leaves us about 5 1/2 years and I'm holding him to it! Here's my evidence!!!)

So maybe one day I'll be in big trouble for posting this picture, but this is one of Molly's first "real" baths (meaning, not a sponge bath) and aren't these the best pictures ever?!!

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures at the beginning of December to give our parents for Christmas. We went to a place in Provo that worked out really well. You make an appointment, go in and take the pictures, then view them on a computer screen, choose them, and then they print them and you leave with them in hand! It was quick and easy, which was exactly what we needed! Molly is 2 months in these pictures. Yesterday marked 3 months! It goes by so quickly!!
This past Saturday we took family pictures with the Galbraith side. We'll get those in about a month or so and I'll have to post a couple of those as well.
And for those of you who've been waiting to hear (lol!) the move in has gone pretty well. Yesterday we were able to get a lot done. We have several piles for the dump and D.I. and then a bunch of stuff was put back into boxes to go in storage.
