He did it!

Here is a just a big conglomeration of pics. It was nice to have several family members there to support Justin!

Justin graduated this past Thursday and Friday from BYU! Hooray! I am so happy and so proud of and for him. He graduated in philosophy with a minor in political science. We went to both the big graduation with everybody on Thursday and then Friday was the humanities college graduation. I think there is some good to going to both.
On Thursday Elder Bednar was the keynote speaker. He had a great talk. He said that we should learn to love to learn. When he first started his talk he said that he's been to many graduations and you never remember what the speaker says, so he said that he was going to make some short remarks. This drew a big round of applause from all the graduates. It was pretty funny. Justin's parents came down and stayed with us to attend both and my parents were able to go. Justin's brother Scott and his wife Brooke came on Thursday and then Friday my Grandpa Galbraith came as well.

Thoughts for the day

To be honest I'm a bit bored at the moment, so what better time for a post, right? Right now Justin and I are at Ryan and Becky's (my bro and SIL). They are gone for an overnighter and we are here watching Lexie. Lexie and Molly are both in bed (big sigh) and Justin is studying for finals. I didn't think about packing anything to entertain me...what was I thinking?!

This morning my mom and I were looking online for patterns to make a quiet book. After Google, we naturally checked out etsy.com. Check out this link to see some super cute quiet books. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5278149 This lady is very talented and doesn't just sell quiet books but activity mats, baby gifts, quilts, etc. My mom and I decided after looking at hers that we could kind of make up our own pattern. Who knows when we will get to it, but sometime this summer I would like to make one. My mom has one that she made for us when we were young and Molly loves it. I've been looking for an interactive one, so that's the goal.

Onto other things...for those who don't know, we have heard back from 5 law schools and we're waiting to hear from 2 more. We've heard that the two left (UNC and ASU) don't usually get back to their applicants until the end of April. Hopefully soon we'll have an idea of what our future holds :) Justin has graduation this Thursday and Friday and Elder Bednar is the commencement speaker, so I bet it'll be great!

Since our trip to Georgia, we're now kind of thinking that maybe our trip to Hawaii next month might be a little less stressful without Molly. My very kind sister Natalie has offered to watch Molly for us as long as she is weaned! It's actually a really hard decision for me. After our flight home from Atlanta we really re-thought bringing her! If we all barely survived a 3 1/2 hour flight, how can we survive 6-7 there and back?! So we've kind of decided that I'll try to wean her by then and if it works, we'll leave her; if not, we'll take her.

That's about all I've got. Hopefully you didn't get bored from reading!

Tagged

I've never actually done a tag for two reasons: 1. laziness 2. usually most people that would read this already know the things about me that it wants me to talk about.

But my friend Whitney tagged me personally, by name, so what the heck? Hopefully all of this isn't totally obvious to everyone. Here goes...

1.What is your husband's name? Justin Wakefield Pendleton

2.Who eats more? Justin BY FAR!! I think maybe once or twice I've eaten more than him and it was probably when I was pregnant or he had recently eaten!!

3. Who said I love you first? Justin

4. Who is taller? Justin

5. Who is smarter? We're both smart. But I am smarter with street smarts (okay, he totally disagrees with me here, but it's true!) and he's probably smarter school wise. Although I am a good student too. He just is smarter with philosophy and all those analyzing type classes that I could care less about!

6. Who is more sensitive? Me for sure! I think I have seen Justin cry once or twice in the whole time I've known him!

7. Who does the laundry? We both actually do it. Lately since I've been a stay at home mom I've pretty much taken it over, but he'll still help out on the weekend if we have some to do.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me.

9. Who pays the bills? I do.

10. Who cooks more? Me by far! He does help with breakfast (waffles, eggs, stuff like that) and once in a great while he'll make us dinner.

11. What meals do you cook together? Breakfast and dinner...he'll help make like the side items for us for dinner sometimes. I usually am over the main dish.

12. Who is more stubborn? Hmmm, we're both pretty stubborn!

13. Who is the first to admit it when they are wrong? Justin. I tend to have a harder time quickly forgiving him!

14. Who is more clean? That's a tough one. I'd say we're about even.

15. Who has more siblings? We both have 4 siblings.

16. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Me! I am boss! :)

17. What do you like to do together? We like to do anything, really. We like to watch movies, go shopping, eat out, get ice cream or treats, play games, hang out with family, play sports, etc.

18. Who eats more sweets? Good question. We both have a sweet tooth. I'm not sure who would win out. But I like sweets more and he likes chips. So I guess maybe me.

19. Guilty pleasures? We both love ice cream! And American Idol!!

20. How did you meet? We were set up on a blind date by Becky (we went to high school together) and her husband Adam (went to high school with Justin). Can you believe it actually worked?!!

21. Who asked who out first? Well we were set up, like I said. But he always asked me out from there on. He was very much the traditional courter (like as in courtship...is that a word-courter?!).

22. Who kissed who first? He kissed me.

23. Who proposed? He proposed on New Year's Eve at his new house (they hadn't quite moved in). He took me outside in the freezing cold and took me to a tree that had christmas lights on it and the ring box was hiding in the branches. He even kneeled down in the snow! (Tender, isn't it?!)

24. Best features? I love it when he smiles his big smile and I can see his dimples! He hates that he has dimples, but I love them! That's where Molly got hers.

25. What is his best quality? He would do ANYTHING for me. He is so selfless when it comes to me. He does anything and everything he can to make me happy. I have the best husband ever!

I am not going to tag anyone, but if you would like to tag yourself, I'd love to read about you!

Baby projects

My mom and I made this wipes case cover today...in other words, inside this little pouch is a case of travel wipes (16 wipes inside) and 3 diapers. The fabric was left over from my nursing cover, so it worked out perfectly! I also had the brown ribbon and decided to put it on as a little embellishment. I plan on throwing this in my diaper bag or purse when I'm out running an errand or for quick trips.

I still don't know what I'm calling these. I've heard them called loveys, but I don't know! Anyway, I made one for Molly because she loves to hold, touch, and eat tags on anything. I figured it would be really simple to make, and they really were. It was a fun little project and now I have a few extras to give away as gifts. The large dotted fabric is fleece and the other side is cotton. I figured the colors work for a boy or girl.

Home again

We had a great time in Georgia. We definitely had some crazy moments, but in the end it all worked out! Everyone got their fill of golf, we ate out at some fun restaurants, we shopped, saw the Atlanta temple, checked out downtown and tried to get some sleep in!Here's the proof that I was at the Masters! I was able to go with Justin for a couple of hours Saturday morning. I was a little bummed that I didn't get to see Tiger or Phil (they were scheduled later in the afternoon), but I did get to see several other pros practicing their drives and putting. The course really is beautiful and so big! It was a really neat experience and fun to see what it's all about!

This is taken from our hotel balcony. I loved all the beautiful trees with white blossoms and the azaelas! So beautiful! And look at the green, green grass.

Here we are at Atlanta Underground. It turned out to be not quite as cool as it we thought, but oh well! We did get yummy chocolate dipped strawberries here, so I guess that made it worth it!

We've arrived

We made it to Georgia...barely! Here's how the fun and excitement all started:

-We got to the airport an hour before takeoff and Justin had an expired driver's license. He had to drive back to Sandy to get his passport. He BARELY made it! We totally thought they missed it. They were seriously just about to close the door. Oh and Justin had the backpack with ALL of Molly's stuff to keep her happy and entertained on the plane.
-The Cougarettes and a big group of missionaries were on our plane! I think the Cougarettes were going to Nationals. The missionaries were going to Virginia I think and probably some other places as well. What torture for the missionaries, right?! I got to take pics with like 5 cameras with all of the Cougarettes and then the missionaries in the back! Too funny.
-We get to the baggage claim (like 30 minutes after walking through the whole airport!) and we realize that we left Molly's WHOLE BAG at home!!!
-We get the rental car and my inlaws left their GPS in their middle console in their car which they left in Sandy at my parent's house.
-LUCKILY Justin's brother and his wife were on a later flight to Georgia and they offered to go pick up the GPS and they also picked up Molly's bag! Hallelujah! We were thinking she was going to get a whole new wardrobe (but rather her than any of us, right?!).

Fun, huh?! Needless to say at about 6:00 pm Atlanta time (4 pm Utah time) I felt like it was like 10 pm! For the record, Molly really did a great job on the plane. She got a little fussy here and there, but what baby doesn't when they are bored/tired? She did a great job. The flight was 3 hours and 15 minutes. I'm not quite sure how well she'll do going to Hawaii (I think it's like a 7 hour flight or something) but at least I have some experience now!

The weather feels great. I'm wearing a short sleeved shirt, jeans and no jacket! It's about 70 degrees...so nice!!

Here we come!

This Wednesday we are headed to Augusta Georgia for the 2008 Masters tournament! If you are unaware, it is the BIGGEST golf tournament in the US each year. Justin's family got two tickets for the 4 day event and the whole family is going!

Wednesday morning we fly out to Atlanta. We return on Monday. There are two tickets, so each day we are going to rotate the tickets so everyone can have a chance to watch (although I'm not sure if I'm technically going...maybe for a couple of hours, but certainly not for an entire day). The Pendleton's are SOOOOO excited! This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity, which is why they decided that everyone should go.
I have never been to Atlanta besides a layover flying somewhere, so I'm excited! Hopefully we'll find some fun things to do. If you've been and you know anything fun, let me know!

Rolling over

This morning we put Molly on the floor on some blankets and she rolled over from her tummy to her back for the first time! We put her down on her tummy then all of a sudden I looked and she was on her back! I was like what?! So we put her on her tummy again and she did it again! We are so proud! :) Funny thing is that today is her half birthday! What a perfect day to do a new trick!

The past few days

Where's Molly? Can you find her?! This is how I found her taking a nap the other day!! The thing on top of her is my latest project. It's a little blanket that has ribbon around the outside that she likes to touch and hold and yes, eat! I'll have to post a better pic so you can really see it.

Oops! I guess I forgot to strap her in! Do you think she got a little bored?!

Grandpa Watkins and his 75th great grandchild
The other day my mom and I went down to BYU to the MOA and saw the Minerva Teichert exhibit. After that we went and saw my grandpa in Orem. Then we went to Tahitian Noni to get some chapstick and have lunch at their cafe. Then we got some ice cream at Sub Zero and drove to my grandpa Galbraith's in Sandy! It was quite the day, but it was fun too! Although by the end Molly was very done with being in her carseat!!

**Note: The following purse DOES NOT belong to me**

I saw this purse at Ross (one of my favorite places, especially when I find great stuff!!). My MIL was telling me a while ago when we were visiting that she was looking for a black purse. Well I saw this one at Ross and thought it was really cute and she might like it. She has excellent taste in purses (this is a Guess purse, but she likes Fossil, Coach, D&B, and all the really nice brands). I told her I saw a cute purse at Ross. Well she called me a few days later and said she couldn't forget that I told her that and would I go and buy it and when they come down this next week she'll check it out and either pay me for it or I can return it. These pictures don't really do it justice, but it's really cute I think! Hopefully she'll like it too!!

Molly already loves purses!!
So that's what we've been up to. Justin takes the computer, so I don't always get the chance to post stuff that quickly. Anyway, conference starts in just a few minutes. Enjoy everyone! I know I will!
