Take a look at where we will be staying: The Mauna Lani Hotel
The real reason we're going: GOLF, believe it or not. My FIL's old mission comp has an annual golf tournament here every year. Don't you want to be invited?!! We're renting a large SUV...like a Ford explorer, so we can get all of our luggage, plus 2 golf bags in!

We haven't decided for sure whether or not we're going to take Molly. Maybe I should have a little poll...what do you think? We hear that this isn't a very touristy island, so I think we will mainly just chill at the resort, which I have no problem with! So I think that it would be pretty easy to have Molly with us. She'll be 7 months old, able to sit up at that point. I still want to nurse her, so if she stayed home, she might not want to when we get back a week later. Anyway, let me know your opinion on the matter!!

I'm so jealous, I might die. I told Ty about the golf and all he could do was give a big sigh. We're dying for some fun in the sun!! Make sure to post pics so we can live vicarioulsy through you!
JEALOUS......and as for Molly, you know where I stand, and am HAPPY to do whatever you decide!! :) But yeah, NOT FAIR.......I've been married 7 years in May and still haven't been to Hawaii with P!!! LUCKY YOU!!!!
I hate you.
How fun! My thoughts about Molly are Take Her! You will have the in-laws there to help with her and I really think that you will be constantly thinking of her and worrying about her. That is just my opinion. We took Claire with us when she was 7 months too-It was nice to have the in-laws help!
I would think taking Molly would be fine. The only thing I would worry about is the plane ride...but actually being on the island would be fun to have her I think! And I'm definitely jealous, but I can't complain. I'm in your boat...somehow Bryce and I are very lucky with vacations!
Ohhh, jealous!!!! And lots of fun!
I think you should take Molly -- like Christine said, you'll have in-law help and you might have a difficult time being away from her that long. Also, it might really mess with your milk supply if you leave her for a week and plan to nurse when you return (unless you pump consistently as if you were feeding her).
hi nicole. so i agree with the few comments - take molly. it goes everything i would WANT to say, however! a kidless trip sounds sooooooo dreamy - but i think that's what it would be. dreamy. while a couple of days would be nice, any longer would probably be hard on ME (not the babies so much) :) as much as my kids drive my crazy, in a good way of course(?!), it's always hard to leave. the thoughts of them and if they are okay, etc. with them there you have peace of mind.
and 7 months is a really good traveling age, i think. they travel well on planes usually - one good trick is to nurse during take-off and landing to help with ear-pressure. also, they aren't totally mobile and so they are better to keep an eye on at the hotel and other such places. and having in-laws there would totally give you guys a chance to go out on a few fun and exciting dates in HAWAII (i echo emily's comment - hehe, kidding), yet not be gone for too long.
but that's just my thoughts. sorry for it being so long! really whatever you feel most comfortable with is probably what would work out best!
