She will be 15 months in a few days and is still not walking, but she likes to stand and pull up to everything and her latest toy she likes playing with is this little hippo.
I know this is blurry, but her face is still so cute and happy! My sister Natalie has one of these at her house and when we were there a few weeks ago, her little cousin Emery was pushing it and so we had Ali try it. She LOVED it! It was so fun to watch, she was so happy and laughing. So of course I did what any mom would do, and looked it up online. They don't sell it anymore, but I found it for $5 on ksl! So I bought it and now she is practicing walking with it! It has these little blocks too that the hippo "eats" up. She thinks it's so fun.
And it really has helped. She is learning how to balance and since playing with it, when we practice walking with her, she does better and is more coordinated.
She also can be found right by the dishwasher, or on the dishwasher if it's open :) She loves the toilet and gets her hands in as quickly as she can. She also loves toilet paper. Anytime she can get in the bathroom, she goes for it!
She says mamamamama and dadadadada a lot, no other words yet! She can wave and clap and likes to be involved with what's going on around her. She still loves/wants to be held as much as possible, which gets tricky at times! Another thing is she is not interested in TV at all. Isn't that weird? Molly was mesmerized even as a baby, but Ali could totally care less. This is totally fine and good even, but sometimes it could save me! She loves her sister Molly and wants to do what she does. She has 10 teeth! She has her top front 4, and two molars in back. Then two on the bottom front, and two molars in back.

We have that hippo, but no blocks! Brooke loved it too! she sure is a cutie!
Seriously I could copy and paste this post and change the photos to be pics of Emery and Wa-La, it'd be TOTALLY TRUE......except the teeth thing, Emery doesn't quite have 10, but close..... ;) 8. CraZy, they really must be related.
Our hippo doesn't have the blocks anymore, but Emery still loves it and is now walking, I'm sure Ali will be off in no time.
Ooohh what a cutie!
oh she is a doll! so cute. glad you found the hippo toy - looks like it's a winner. :)
was she late in crawling, too? lucy has absolutely zero interest in crawling, let alone being mobile in any other sense. i guess it's a blessing. but i was just curious.
i'm sure she'll be off RUNNING in no time. :)
She is so sweet. My kids aren't tv watchers either and it drives me crazy!! The only thing I can get them to watch for even a little bit is Barney.
she and Jake are two peas in a pod. I guess they just need to get married! I do wish he would like tv more too.
I love the hippo, I might need to find one like it. Love that Ali bug.
Oh she is cute Nicole!!
My girls are the same with tv--Clara loved it at a very young age and Liza couldn't care less until just recently. They definitely come with their own little personalities!
Yes, Emily, she was a late crawler! I'm trying to think what age she was....like 9 months I think? So hard to remember. Anyway, she has seemed slow but I have no idea if that's just her or being 6 weeks premature??
thanks for answering my question! and that's right, she was a preemie. that can affect things for sure. but it really doesn't matter, right! as long as a baby is happy and healthy - oh, and cute. i think you can check off all 3. :)
