Can you say paranoia?

Tell me if I'm wrong, but don't you think that people are going a bit CRAZY when it comes to the swine flu right now? Example: I arrived at 6 am at the health dept. this morning (ok I know that makes me sound crazy) and waited 2 hours in a very long line to be told that they ran out, oh about 50 or so people in front of me! Wasn't there a better way? I think if I weren't pregnant, I wouldn't be quite as worried about getting it. Also add in that my two nephews, niece, BIL and SIL have all gotten the swine flu this past week.

Molly has been lucky. She had a well child check this past week and was able to get her flu shot (well she had the nasal spray actually) and a couple of immunizations she needed. After I decided to try out the health dept. and see if she could get her swine flu shot as well. We walked right in, without a wait! It was great other than the fact that she realized what was going on and started to cry before she actually got the shot :( I felt like a bad mom, but I'm really being a good mom, right?

Anyway, I guess eventually I will get one somewhere, I just wish they were doing this all in a more organized and efficient way! I'll get off my soapbox now! PS Brooke, thanks for waiting in line with me even though it was for nothing!!

That stinks that you didn't get it after waiting so long. Have you checked to see if your OB has the vaccine? I know mine had some ordered for us last week when I was there.

oh, that stinks that so many of your family has come down with the swine flu! so sad. where the nephews nat's boys? stinky business this swine flu is - especially since they are obviously not making enough vaccinations.

They still don't have the vaccines here. Everyone is getting it and I really don't want it!

Yeah I think it's crazy. Brooke hasn't even got her flu shot yet because the doctors office ran out. Hopefully in the next few weeks. I think I'll wait until the buzz dies down to get the H1N1 shot. Bryce got to get his since he works in the ER. Hopefully Brooke and I don't get it before we can get the shot! :)

I'm telling you this is why the government should NOT be in charge of healthcare.........but that's all I'm going to say about that, and YES, I hope your OB ends up with some too, just like mine, SUPPOSEDLY. Really. Paranoia, I'll blame the media too though ;)

Aww no kidding! They were pretty organized in Utah county...they had a clicker a people came in so they'd know how many they had.

Our whole family has had the swine flu already. I think we got i when we went to our well child check ups. So much for that. I hate taking well children to the doctor! I say we got the immunity the hard way. It was pretty rough. I am hoping to get the flu shot when they get more. Talia and I are the only ones that need it. The rest got the flu mist. I just don't remember it being this big of a deal when we were younger. I don't remember getting a flu shot as a kid.

That is frustrating; sorry. I stood in line for 2 hours at our health department to get mine. But at least they refused to give it to other people and said pregnant was the priority!
