WICKED good time!

What can I say? Of course Wicked was FANTASTIC! Amazing! So entertaining! The costumes were fab, the acting and singing as well! Glinda was totally hilarious, she had everyone laughing hysterically I think. And man, Elpheba had an amazing voice and range! (As all of the cast did) I'm wondering how long it takes Elpheba to have her normal shade of skin color back?!!

I didn't know the storyline before hand, only that it was the story of the wicked and good witch, but I did know the music, which I think helped. It was fun not to know the outcome. We had excellent seats about 15 rows back dead center. We saw my cousin Emily and her husband Ben as well as a few other people we knew. All in all, I would HIGHLY reccommend it to anyone! It's worth whatever you have to pay...ok within reason! My only regret is that Justin couldn't come--he was working and I know he would have loved it! Mom and dad, thanks for the tickets! And also thanks to our wonderful babysitter Sara!!

Making it Easy

We just heard back from Pepperdine today and he's on the waitlist. I'm not positive, but I would guess that we may have similar news from UNC, who we still haven't heard from either. If that's the case, what an easy choice! Who knew that waitlists could be a good thing?!

Onto more exciting news--I get to see WICKED tomorrow!! I can't wait! I've been dying to see it since it came out. I'm going with my mom, Natalie and Todd.Unfortunately Justin can't go because he's working. My parent's bought tickets a year ago and got 4. My dad is out of town on business, so we are the lucky ones using the tickets! I'll let you know how it goes, but I know it will be awesome!!

Update

Ok so I know I haven't said anything more about law schools, but that's because nothing's really changed! We are still waiting to hear back from 2 schools. Although Justin did send a seat deposit in for the U. My guess at this point is that he will most likely attend the U unless we hear from BYU and they say they have a spot for him. BYU is half the price of the U, so who wouldn't?!

First time for everything

Last night I got stitches for the first time in my life! I was cutting fabric and somehow I went over my ruler and sliced part of my index finger on my left hand with the rotary cutter! Ouch! It shocked me more than anything. Justin wasn't home yet from work and Molly was asleep (it was almost 10 pm) so I walked upstairs and told my mom. She saw it and said I would need stitches and that we should go to the ER. I wasn't too crazy about the idea.
We live in a neighborhood that has about 10 doctors, so I asked my mom if she'd call one of them on our street. Luckily he was there and said to send me over! Justin got home about that time and so he went with me. Justin said I got three stitches (I wasn't looking). The worst part was the needle that had the numbing juice in it. That stung! It was the worst on my knuckle.
It was kind of a funny setting. Here I was getting stitches, sitting at a kitchen table and the news was on their TV. So I sat and watched the news and about 40 minutes later I was home! I am so grateful that I didn't have to sit and wait at the ER!
Oh and the picture of the flowers is what Justin brought with him when he came to WY on Saturday. He was working, so he arrived Saturday night with these two beautiful arrangements! One for me and one for my MIL for Easter. They are beautiful!! Little did he know that he would have an excuse a few days later for the flowers ;)

Easter in WY

My sister Natalie and I headed up to my in-laws last weekend for a little getaway. We had a fun time. I know Molly especially loved having her cousins there to play with!

Molly's pink rolling backpack was quite the hit with all of the kids. Also, the little green thing Major is holding is a little Easter pillow that was liked as well.

Molly didn't get a chance to take a snowmobile ride, but she was pretty excited to be outside and check out the snow.

Mitt and Major both got a ride or two from Uncle Mark! Thanks Mark for being such a good sport!
The city of Thayne had a little egg hunt, so we went to check it out. They said there were 3 or 4 times as many kids this year than in years past! But Molly was still excited, especially about this ducky basket that a nearby little girl had. Molly loves to say "ducky".

At first she was all excited about the Easter bunny until he picked her up and put her on his lap! Then the easter bunny was terrifying!! It was pretty funny.

Each kid got 5 eggs and that was plenty for Molly!
Easter Day---

These pics are a bit out of order, but here's Molly with her spoils. We had an egg hunt just for Molly at Grandma and Grandpas.

I like this picture, too bad it's a bit blurry!

Yes, I have two buckets full of eggs!

Easter Egg Hunt!

This weekend was a good one. Conference was great as always and even though the weather wasn't so great on Saturday, yesterday the sun came out and today is even nicer!

We had most of the family over for dinner yesterday (we missed you Em and Zack!) and then after we had an easter egg hunt for the grandkids! They absolutely loved it. And it was quite entertaining for the rest of us too!

First the kids picked up a pail on the sidewalk. They were all lined up. This was Molly's first egg hunt, so we had to help her at first.

Mitt knew right what to do! And the others were pretty smart too!

Daddy helping Molly.

After a little while, she was getting the hang of it and thought it was pretty fun!

Our little binky baby.

She was pretty happy at this point!

After the hunt was over, we headed back in and the kids checked out their loot!

Grandma and Grandpa also had a book for each kid. Aren't grandparents great?!

I think Molly's hoping Major will share here. And most of the kids did. I think Molly ended up eating most of the candy, no lie!

The kids each got a little shovel to go with their pail and Molly decided she wanted to use it like a spoon :)
It was a fun day!

Entertainment

This week I got to see a new movie and a play. I'll start with the movie. So I went with my brother to see Monsters and Aliens in 3D. It was a pretty cute show. The 3D was pretty cool. I'll admit I did fall asleep for a bit during the movie, but overall, not bad. I'm sure kids would like it better than I did! Although there are jokes for adults if you end up seeing it with your kids.

Wednesday night Justin and I saw "All Shook Up" at the Orem Hale Center Theatre. It was really fun and entertaining! My lovely friend Sara was in it and did a great job. (By the way Sara, I didn't tell you, but I absolutely LOVED your cupid get up! Too bad you can't keep that for another day!) Anyway, the story line was really cute. I had never seen the musical before. It was Elvis music, so it was very upbeat and lively. I thought the cast all did a great job and it was nice to just sit and relax and not have to think about what was happening! And a date night is always welcomed!
