Beautiful

I had the privilege of taking some pictures (for my class) of my friend's two kids. It was so much fun!

I had to be quick to keep up with this little boy!

Isn't he adorable?

And then the real treat was this beautiful little 2 week old baby girl! What a sweetie!

She posed herself so perfectly. It made my job so easy!! E, thanks so much for letting me take some pictures! Your children are beautiful.

bad forwards

I won't lie and say that I never forward anything, but I do feel that I am selective. If I receive a dumb forward, I am not going to send it on. And when I do, I don't just send it to all of my contacts, I usually have a specific person in mind (I am not judging those who do any of this...this is just my take). There are some good forwards, I will admit that.

Tonight when I opened a forwarded email, I knew why I don't like them.

The subject was "This made me think of you."

Here goes.

"I like you because of who you are to me...A true friend. " (oh boy)
(this picture was above that text)

"And if I don't get this back I'll take the hint." (seriously?)

"Something good will happen to you tomorrow at 1-4 pm tomorrow." (uh huh, yeah I bet)

At this point I am thinking GAG ME!!! Do you not agree with me? This is why I hate forwards! Why are they so cheesy? If you don't forward this on, then you are a bad person! I am in fact a terrible person because most of the time, I don't send them on. Sorry forwards.

P.S. This line is also classic of the "lame forwards"
"Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence, and don't skip ahead."

and one more great line from this particular foward

"I've learned...that life is like a roll of toilet paper....the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes." (Yes, thank you for those pearls of wisdom!!)

Cherry Hill

Alright I think I'm caught up now! Yesterday we went to Cherry Hill. The kids had a lot of fun!

It was overcast, but still nice and warm!

The babies had a nap

and the kids played!

Thanks guys! We had fun!

Father's Day

We celebrated a fun Father's Day! We were lucky to have Todd, Grandpa Galbraith, and Natalie and Preston and their kids all over for dinner.

A happy picture of Majey (as Molly calls him) and Molly (you don't always see this!!)

Molly was quite interested in the sand
while the boys were loving the swings

Mitt is getting so big and grown up!
Todd wearing his classic favorite hat!
Look how sweet this is. Emery and two of her grandpas! Happy Father's Day you two!
Mmmmm enjoying some yummy home-made ice cream! Can't beat it!
Happy Father's Day Justin! (Sorry, Molly didn't get a nap if you didn't notice) He is such a wonderful dad. The girls love him. Alison always looks around when she hears his voice and smiles so big when he looks and smiles at her. Molly always asks "where's daddy?" and says, "he's my best friend"! We all love you!

Cushions

I made some cushions to go on a chair I have inherited where I now sit while I sew!

By the way, it isn't this chair! But this one was easier to get outside for the picture!

The cushions are reversible! So when I get bored with one side, I can just flip them over! I already had the fabric from a previous project, lucky me!

Provo Cabin

We spent a couple of hours here last weekend...

Isn't it a cute cabin?! I love that my grandma bought the property while her husband was off to war for around $50! My grandpa and great grandpa built it and it is still in working condition!

The creek runs behind the cabin. Luckily it wasn't too high while we were there.

Grandpa would get a bunch of pinecones together for Molly to throw in. She thought it was the greatest game.

Molly is grandpa's pal!

Here's the little bridge and the little waterfall. Don't worry, my dad was here and she didn't make it over :)
Wishing I had a zoom lens...

They added an extension to the cabin and it included one extra room on the 2nd floor. This little bed is in that room and Molly thought it was "her bed".

It was the perfect size for her! Both of my grandpas came with us and my parents. We ate dinner and my mom had brought some things to re-decorate. Molly loved the cabin. We need to get up there more often! It's up past Sundance in Provo Canyon. So beautiful right now! I haven't been up in a couple of years and was really sad that the neighbors tire swing is no longer there :( I LOVED that swing when I was little!

Photo overload

Here is more of my homework. One assignment was to photograph a day in the life of _______ (fill in the blank with a person or object of your choice). So I chose Miss Molly.

This week we worked on composition (or in other words, photos that are interesting...lines, shapes, colors, etc.)

Can you guess where these were taken? Wheeler Farm.

The other day we went to the zoo with some friends. We had a fun time!
Look how cute these brothers are! I couldn't get Molly to get closer to them!

Some more composition pics taken at the park.

My sister Emily as the beautiful model for this one :)

And then a week ago my friend Christine was in town and agreed to take some family pics! Thanks so much Christine! Here are a few. We are going to visit her in a few months and I hope that I know enough of what I'm doing so I can take some pictures for her if she wants!

Last, but not least, a pic of Alison taken today. Five months old.
I hope you can see that I've been having fun! I haven't taken a real "class" since college I don't think. It's nice to be challenged once in a while and have to learn new things!
