Christmas projects revealed...

This year we had my brother Ryan's family for Xmas. My mom went to visit them this week and I had my gifts all ready to send and they opened them yesterday since they will be out of town for the actual event and didn't want to bring all their gifts with. So here they are!

I made these two bubble skirts for their girls. This was my first attempt at a bubble skirt. I used a couple different tutorials since I couldn't find one starting with just fabric (they were all re-purposing tutorials). I think they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself!

I found the matching ribbon and couldn't refuse (and it was 50% off!). I think the ribbon made the skirts go from cute to darling! I had extra ribbon, so I sent it to Becky and told her she could make her own matching bows! Ha! I could have done them, but she is the bow queen and I knew she'd have extra ribbon to match!

I made a couple of tote bags for some friends a couple months ago while we were visiting Ryan and Becky. Becky requested one, so it was perfect that we had them for Xmas! Those who know Becky know she has a thing for red and black (and some bling). Thus, her tote bag!

I didn't have a pattern, but I do have a tote bag similar to this that I've had for a long time. I just measured it and made up my own pattern. I used heavy, home decor type fabric (the red is actually upholstery samples from my dad or brother!) and I also used a heavy iron on stabilizer to have it keep its shape better.

The skirts and the bag are all lined. That is saying something for me. I hate lining things! Pretty much because I'm lazy and it takes longer! Although with a bubble skirt, you have to use a lining to make it bubble :)

Oh and we didn't leave out Ryan, but I didn't make his gift!! He got a golf towel. And Justin picked that out! I have a couple other things I made, but you'll have to wait until after Xmas!

Seriously, we were so lucky!! I still can't believe you put in all that effort, but I'm going to take it as you just LOVE US that much. :) Seriously though, Thank you! can't wait to show off our stuff at church!

When are you going to start an etsy site? Or when can I hire you to make some things for me? I love your projects, Nicole. Nice job!
