First time for everything

Last night I got stitches for the first time in my life! I was cutting fabric and somehow I went over my ruler and sliced part of my index finger on my left hand with the rotary cutter! Ouch! It shocked me more than anything. Justin wasn't home yet from work and Molly was asleep (it was almost 10 pm) so I walked upstairs and told my mom. She saw it and said I would need stitches and that we should go to the ER. I wasn't too crazy about the idea.
We live in a neighborhood that has about 10 doctors, so I asked my mom if she'd call one of them on our street. Luckily he was there and said to send me over! Justin got home about that time and so he went with me. Justin said I got three stitches (I wasn't looking). The worst part was the needle that had the numbing juice in it. That stung! It was the worst on my knuckle.
It was kind of a funny setting. Here I was getting stitches, sitting at a kitchen table and the news was on their TV. So I sat and watched the news and about 40 minutes later I was home! I am so grateful that I didn't have to sit and wait at the ER!
Oh and the picture of the flowers is what Justin brought with him when he came to WY on Saturday. He was working, so he arrived Saturday night with these two beautiful arrangements! One for me and one for my MIL for Easter. They are beautiful!! Little did he know that he would have an excuse a few days later for the flowers ;)

Well that doesn't sound like much fun! I guess there really is a first time for everything right?! Hopefully you are feeling okay.

Oh gosh, how awful. Sitting in the house getting stitched up reminds me of Twilight. ;)
