The hunt and wait are over

The hunt--
So this morning I went looking with the girls to find another pair of zip up jammies for Alison, in a 9 month size. Wow, I had no clue it would be so hard! I went to the following stores:

Ross
TJ Maxx
Target
a friend checked Costco for me
Burlington Coat Factory
Children's Place

And I was finally victorious at Carter's!!! Can you believe I went to 7 places?! I live really close to all of them, so it's not like I was out for ten hours, but seriously!! I didn't even find jammies with zippers anywhere but the Children's Place (but of course they didn't have the right size) and Carter's! And Carter's only had 2 different designs, the rest were snaps! I realize it's not a super common size, but come on!! Ridiculous.

Side note: Here's what I worked on yesterday and today:

I found a tutorial here: Make It and Love It, although it is really simple. Just cut out different sized circles of a satiny fabric, burn the edges, then glue together and embellish however you want. I bought the fabric from JoAnn's last week and it was 30% off (just happened to be my luck!) and I got 1/8th of a yard of each color and paid like 35 cents for each cut! So it is a really cheap project! The beads that I put in the middle were on sale too.

I chose to glue a clip onto the back, but on the tutorial I saw, she put them on headbands and added leaves. It's whatever you want!

Ok, now "the wait"--

I have a black diaper bag that I really love. About two months ago, part of it came un-sewn :( and I was so bummed! It was such a weird spot and I haven't even owned the bag a year (and I don't use it every day...I may have a few other bags!!). So I read their return policy and thought it would probably fall under wear and tear, which there is no warranty for. But I swear I was never hard on it! And like I said, it was such a weird spot...plus the other side didn't have the same problem.

Well, I emailed the company and told them my story. 2 weeks later I got a reply, no joke. They said to send a picture and give them my contact number and a few numbers inside the bag. So I did. Well another 2 weeks went by (oh and in the email the lady did say that they were relocating their offices, so thanks for my patience).
Here's the damaged part. Isn't that such a weird place? What I think happened is they sewed the fabric too close to the edge, so when it was barely pulled on, it came apart. Does that make sense?

Well today I got a box and guess what was inside?!!

This new bag!! I couldn't believe it! They didn't even call or email and say it was coming or anything, it was just on my porch in a box! Mine was black and this is obviously gray, but hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?!

Now for those of you who think, well why didn't you just fix it yourself? It wouldn't have been that easy to fix. I could have done it, but it really would have been tricky. I asked my mom about sewing it and she wasn't really sure it would look like it did.

For anyone looking for a great diaper bag, I really do like this one. It has great pockets on the inside and I love the outside pocket at the top with the zipper. That's where I throw my keys and cell phone. The company is SkipHop. They were so good to me and I would definitely recommend them!

Cute bows!!! I totally need to try those! Oh, and I found zipper jammies for Eliza last year at Kohls. Not sure if they still have them, but they had tons. And I love the diaper bag too! That's good to know about the company taking good care of you because so many companies don't.
